Calendar Art Medal Representing The Passing Of Time

Carmel, CA - Hoffman Mint, one of the largest private mints in the United States, is proud to announce
the release of their 2004 Calendar Medal, “Oceana”. This limited edition art medal portrays Hoffman
Mint’s version of a mythical goddess of time, “Oceana” observing all in a place where time stands still.
Oceana is depicted pausing in the present and looking toward the future on a bluff above the ocean.
In her hand she holds a spiraling conch shell which symbolizes the turning of the universe and the
passing of the days of the 2004 calendar which is engraved on the medal’s reverse. She has the ability
to listen to the past, stand in the present and look towards the future. In the splendor of the moment,
the waves crash on the beach building upon the sands of time as the sun rises on the horizon. Behind
Oceana’s wind blown robe stands a gnarled tree which symbolizes our roots in history as we grow
into the skies of possibility. She is at peace observing the ebb and flow of time and nature around her.
On the reverse side, the ocean, the waves of time and two beautifully crafted conch shells are sculpted
around the 2004 calendar.

The creation of this meticulously struck and beautifully engraved calendar medal is the result of a
collaboration of the skilled team of Hoffman Mint artisans. Each calendar medal is individually marked
with its own serial number and the official hallmark of Hoffman Mint. The 3” diameter medal is available
in an antiqued finish either in Bronze or in .999 Silver. “Oceana” is packaged in a deluxe presentation
gift box, and is accompanied by a solid walnut wood display stand and a certificate of authenticity. To
enhance the value, Hoffman Mint is strictly limiting the striking of “Oceana” to only 5004 numbered
pieces after which the dies will be defaced and permanently retired. “We are offering this year’s beautifully
sculpted calendar medal for all to enjoy a unique artistic representation of time passing,” commented
Michael Hoffman, CEO of Hoffman Mint.

The “Oceana” Calendar Medal sells for $39.95 in Bronze, and $175.00 in .999 Silver. To order “Oceana”,
